Please note: Guests will be charged a nightly fee of 2.95 to cover the use of the personal safe, and a nightly communications fee of 4.95 to cover unlimited local, nationwide long distance and high speed internet access. Each of the guest rooms features exquisite floral designs, European antique furnishings, and in-room safes. The Pelham is located on a site that was formerly the plantation of Jean Baptist Lemoyne De Bienville, founder of New Orleans. Enter through a warmly ornate lobby with a cozy seating area and old world decorations. The grand scale of personal service and attention to detail sets this luxury boutique hotel apart from all others. Additional amenities include room service, 24-hour valet parking and bell desk. The plantation was granted to Bienville by the Company of the Indies in 1719 and sold by him to the Jesuit Fathers in 1726. Other interesting points include 18 feet ceilings, old brick walls, crown molding and 10 feet tall windows. The Order held it until 1763 when it was confiscated. The European style historic landmark hotel offers 60 classically appointed guest rooms all furnished in English style, with antiques, four poster beds and elegant fabrics. The attentive staff invites you to experience The Pelham ... an intimate hotel steeped in New Orleans tradition ... where grace, service, and style create a charming atmosphere. From the moment the doorman greets your arrival, you're in a special world, small enough to provide the grand scale of personal attention you deserve. The variety of styles, including 4-poster king size and queen size beds, create an atmosphere of gracious comfort for every guest.
